Ventilation and Heat Recovery

Dantherm UnitFresh air is essential in maintaining a good working environment, this principal applies from office environments to industrial processes.

Ventilation is used to remove contaminated air to atmosphere, where this air is removed it has to be replaced by fresh air.

Government guidelines exist to advise, on the correct amounts of fresh air required per person in different environments and the requirements for supplying this air in the most energy efficient way.

In its simplest form a ventilation system may consist of an open window. However not many people would want a window open during winter and security reasons may prevent this from being an option.

Dantherm DanXMechanical fresh air systems can be integrated into an air conditioning system or be stand alone, the best systems utilise some form of heat recovery where the heat from the air being extracted is used to warm up the incoming fresh air.

These heat recovery systems range in size from small units designed for domestic / small commercial use to systems intended to serve whole buildings or special areas such as swimming pools.

We have extensive experience in the design, installation and commissioning of these systems and can provide advice on the correct system to choose.
